ADA Compliance Assessment
There are some basic ADA requirements that most businesses are aware of, including automatic doors, ramps, etc. But most businesses do not understand the rest of the requirements and the adjustments they need to make to be in compliance. For example, do you have technological equipment and/or interpreters to effectively communicate with Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals? Do you provide employee support systems for those with mental health issues?
You can request V.O.I.C.E. Inc. to conduct an ADA Compliance Assessment that includes:
- A site survey
- Meeting to review your compliance report, including where you are and are not in compliance and suggestions to become compliant.
ADA Compliance Training
Upon completion of an ADA Compliance Assessment, you might request (or we might recommend) ADA Compliance Training for your management/staff. V.O.I.C.E. Inc. will create a customized training to your specific company needs. For example, in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, many employers are required to have a compliance officer. If we identify that you need one, we can provide the support and training to help remedy this situation. Or, if your biggest issue is safety, we’ll tailor the ADA Compliance Training to focus mainly on safety issues and the technologies available to improve it, while also highlighting any other items that are pertinent to your company. This ensures that your management/staff get the most out of the training and aren't burdened with training topics that are completely unrelated to your business.
The steps for compliance training include:
- Step 1: Conduct ADA Compliance Assessment
- Step 2: Customize and provide ADA Compliance Training
- Step 3: Provide a follow-up assessment in an agreed-upon number of days upon completion of the training
From start to finish, the entire process can be 1 week to 1 month in length, depending upon your time frame and needs.
