On December 9th, 2011 VOICE, Inc. held our annual Deaf Children's Christmas Party which is open to all Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, their siblings, and parents. This year's attendance was over 100 people! Of course Santa showed up and, knowing all languages, he was able to sign with the children!
There were crafts to make, games to play, an interpreted storybook reading, food and drink, lots of candy and even a face-painter! When Santa arrived, he brought gifts for all the children!
The party was such a great success thanks to the large number of volunteers who showed up to assist! We had Girl Scouts, Interpreting Program students from Mott Community College and Lansing Community College, Sign Language students from Delta Community College and, of course, our office Staff!
We want to thank Amber Cooper and Colleen Rhinehart for organizing the event. Once again, it was a great success!
